Erin Madonna is the Learning Support Specialist at Shekou International School in Shenzhen, China. Before moving to work internationally, she spent a decade teaching students with diverse needs in the small, but feisty, state of Delaware, USA. Over the course of her career, Erin has specialized in working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders as well as those who struggle with sensory integration. In her practice, Erin utilizes many different pedagogical approaches and programs (multi-sensory, differentiation, experiential, mindfulness, Response to Intervention, Whole Brain, Responsive Classroom, Kagan Structures, Learning Focused, etc), blending the best parts of each to meet the unique needs of her students. She is passionate about supporting students who benefit from a non-traditional approach to education and the teachers who guide them.
