Getting started with Drones

You Bought a Drone – Now What?

This session, presented by students and teacher from the American School of Guangzhou, will focus on beginning to incorporate drone technology into your school. In particular, exploring how AISG has built a robust student led Drone club for Middle School and High School Students.

Topics discussed will include safety, creating a pilot’s license for students, maintenance, and what type of flying machines to start a program with. A focus will also be on creating Drones for Good and building student drones with K’Nex. We will also touch on photography with drones, and what racing drones are all about.

It’s all about drones.

This workshop is suitable for any teachers who are interested in using drones in an authentic way in education. There are obviously many application for those teachers who are involved in extracurricular activities such as aerial video and photography.

Please note this workshop involves travel to an off-site location. A bus will leave immediately after the opening keynote and return prior to the closing keynote on first day of the conference.
