Growing Inclusivity: Practical Strategies
As international schools become increasingly inclusive of all learners, educators may find themselves unprepared to effectively meet the broad range of needs entering their classrooms. There is growing understanding that diverse populations challenge the way we have taught and require us to think differently about how we will teach. In this workshop, we will explore what it means to be an inclusive educator. We will consider the internal shifts in belief and practice we must make as we strive to support our changing population. Focus will also be given to the range of external tools available to us. We will dig into modulating voice and energy, explicit strategies, and evidence-based programs in an effort to reflect on and grow into our ever-changing roles.
Suitable for all educators, practical examples geared towards primary.
