The NoTosh Curriculum Kitchen: How to create projects where students can problem-find

What ingredients would you put together to create a different kind of project from what you normally give your students? Five years ago, the development of students’ problem-solving skills was the focus for many teachers’ own learning. Today, the skill of problem-finding, first brought to light by NoTosh in 2010, is very much what innovative school systems and schools are trying to develop in their students. In this three hour session, we’ll just concentrate on how teachers can craft projects for students to get stuck into. They’ll be firmly built on curricular standards, but offer a breadth and depth of thought in students that will blow you away. Everyone will leave with the start of a fresh project, ready to put into action back at school.
