Andrea Downie is an educator & facilitator who has worked with over 140 schools and organisations in Australia and overseas – on education redesign, systems leadership and well-being science. She is a disruptive change maker and learning and well-being designer, and in 2016 co-founded purpose driven organisation ‘Project Thrive’.
Andrea has taught in Primary years and held numerous leadership positions in Wellbeing, Learning Enhancement, Technology, Gifted Education and Deputy Principal as well as teaching and guest lecturing in the Centre for Positive Psychology, Graduate school of education at the University of Melbourne. She has a strong passion for wellbeing, personalised learning and the development of metacognition in young people.
She has a large love of activating and learning and holds a Bachelor Degree majoring in Psychology, a Postgraduate Bachelor of Education, Certificate of Gifted Education and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (First Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne and a Certificate in Redesigning Education from Harvard University.
