Bridging Gaps in Literacy Skills

Pedagogy & Assessment

2 December 2021 (Thursday) - 06:00 PM - 07:00 PM

We expect older students to be reading to learn rather than learning to read. We often base activities and learning engagements around reading tasks. But what about students with learning and language needs? How do we ensure that those students are not denied access to engaging activities and grade level content because of their additional needs? This presentation will provide routines and tools teachers can use to create classrooms where all students are empowered to be independent and successful learners.
