Bringing Stories About Complex Subjects to Life
Library
Student Voice

Stories brings facts to life, help make meaning of complex ideas and connect emotionally with readers leaving a deeper, richer impression. Story taps into a greater level of understanding than lists of facts or figures, because they create an emotional bridge between abstract ideas and experience. Join Deborah Abela, author of over 27 books for children, as she explains how her books allow her to talk about subjects such as climate change, war, refugees, but also loneliness, belonging and the importance of being loved for exactly who you are.
This presentation is part of the 21CLHK Library Mini-Conference and you need to register for that event to attend this session
