Mentorship as a Change Management Strategy

Innovation in Education Leadership Wellness - School

23 November 2021 (Tuesday) - 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM

70-20-10, this is the golden rule for successfully developing leaders. We know from research that senior leaders are the most proven and powerful tool for empowering aspiring senior leaders to be accountable for 70% of their own development. Thus, to successfully develop leaders in our schools, senior leaders need to accept 20% of the responsibility by clarifying their roles and expectations, keeping them focused on strategic objectives and helping them to overcome obstacles.

Michael will present cases from schools he has worked with across Asia to establish a culture of mentoring and how it lead those schools to improve retention and inspire middle leaders to want to take ownership of whole school initiatives as a means of preparing them for future senior leadership roles.
