Roll Initiative! Using Table Top RPGs in the library.

Online Learning Student Voice Pedagogy & Assessment

20 November 2021 (Saturday) - 05:30 PM - 06:00 PM

Roll Initiative is the most exciting phrase a Dungeon Master (DM) from the famous Table Top Role Playing Game, Dungeons and Dragons, can say. Is the moment a big set of decisions will change the collective story the DM and the players are building at the table. Table Top RPGs, as interactive and collective narrative experiences, present an opportunity for all kinds of teachers to harness the power of storytelling, while enhancing agency and student choice as they use dice to affect the decisions the student-players make in the story. Learn how to play, and how to be a game master for your class.
