What does a design researcher do? (Student Session)

January 2021

Are you a student interested, or curious about pursuing a future in the field of design? This webinar will connect you with a veteran strategist and service designer who currently works for Steelcase managing research into how people work. Insight from her research is translated into strategies products, services and experiences.

Great research breeds great design. Design researchers investigate human experience and behaviour, dream up new ways to spark and distil insight, and inspire teams to address people’s needs through design. Amber is part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers, strategists and advanced applications experts across Steelcase who employ a human-centered, future-focused approach towards understanding the world of work in corporate, education and healthcare environments. Learn how to use design research and the design thinking process as a foundation to generate insights, which are then translated into strategies, products, services and experiences.

This session is open to students in schools that any educator signed up for the conference can attend. If you are registered check the Socio conference website/app for the registration details to forward to your students
