Fran is a freelance mathematics communicator, promoter and educator.  She was part of the NRICH team at the University of Cambridge for 7 years, writing and delivering workshops for pupils and professional development for teachers.  Prior to this she was a head of subject and an Advanced Skills Teacher of mathematics, working supportively with colleagues and pupils in other settings as well as her own school. Her 14 years of teaching experience span lower, middle, upper, primary and secondary settings in the UK, and this was further extended in her time at NRICH through the opportunity to work with staff and pupils in both ‘home’ and international settings across Europe, Asia and Oceania.  She loves the variety of work that she is invited to contribute to and has a firm belief that everyone can improve their ‘mathematical fitness’.
