Over the past 20 years, Luke’s education journey has seen him teach in his home country of New Zealand as well as in China and now in Vietnam at the British International School of Ho Chi Minh. Throughout this journey, he has focused on exploring how new technologies can be harnessed in the classroom to positively impact students’ lives and how a range of pedagogical approaches can support modern learning environments. As part of his Google Innovator project, Luke is exploring how he can remotely support teachers’ development in STEAM and project-based learning with a specific focus on teaching these subjects in a virtual environment – how can you work collaboratively with a maker mindset when you are not in the same room?.
